3D Printing - Learn by Building

Explore mechatronics in 3d printing systems; the synchronization of mechanical and electrical components, materials, and thermodynamics. build and calibrate an open-source fused deposition modeling 3d printer. design and print functional parts on a final demo day.

I taught the class in 2016 and hope to teach it in some form again. Sections of the course have been integrated into “UW ME 480: Introduction to Computer-Aided Technology.”
