Welcome to the web page
featuring UWB student research products generated in partnership with…
The
21 Acres Center for Local Food and Sustainable Living
As the 21 Acres web site states: “21 Acres is a non-profit
organization with a vision to create and operate a vital, open public space for
all of us to rediscover the agricultural heritage of our region and learn
about cutting-edge, sustainable agricultural design and technologies as well
as ways to maximize the beneficial aspects of fresh local produce and farm
products.” UW Bothell students in a
number of different courses have been working with 21 Acres over the years to
help forward their mission while also honing their own research skills. What follows are examples of student research products
submitted to 21 Acres. Some of them have
been lightly edited after submission by Robert Turner, the faculty sponsor. To learn more about generating collaborative partnerships with
UW Bothell students, contact Karen Ericson, Director of Community-Based Learning and Scholarship at kericson@uwb.edu
