This is a collaboration with Prof. Brian Wilkinson at Illinois State and Prof. Francis Alonzo at Loyola U Chicago. Congrats to former postdoc, Dr. Kelly Hines! The paper was selected as the Cover Image of the issue.
Amy receives TL1 predoctoral training grant and the Magnuson Scholarship!
The Institute of Translational Health Sciences TL1 is an NIH-funded training grant that will allow Amy to undergo additional trainings in translational science!
The Magnuson Scholarship recognizes graduate students in the UW Health Sciences for their excellent academic performance and outstanding potential for research in the health sciences! Check out the news coverage here and here.

This is a collaborative work with the Werth lab at the Department of Pharmacy and Salipante Lab at Laboratory Medicine! Faculty Innovation Fund awarded!
Our lab and Ed Kelly Lab receive a Faculty Innovation Award from UW School of Pharmacy to study the toxicogenetics of benzalkonium chlorides using “liver-kidney-on-chips”! Check out the announcement here!
We are awarded a grant from the Smith-Lemli-Opitz foundation!
This award will help us look at the role of oxysterol detoxification by glutathione S-transferases in Smith-Lenti-Opitz syndrome, a rare disease, but not so rare in terms of carrier frequency (1 in 30)!
