SIMCON: Keyword
Simulation and Solver Control (or sample input files)

Syntax:
   SIMCON: acut={} rcut={} frdl={} fsdx={} tsax={} tcut={} tmax={} nstp={}

Example:
   SIMCON: FSDX=0.01 TSAX=0.25 TCUT=96 RCUT=1.0E-09 FRDL=1
   SIMCON: FSDX=0.00 TSAX=12 TMAX=250 ACUT=1.0E-09 FRDL=1

The
TMAX, NSTP, and TCUT time cutoff parameters provide explicit way control of the duration of a Virtual Cell simulation. Combinations of these parameters can also be used; the simulation will end when the first stop-condition is encountered. Alternatively, the ACUT and RCUT parameters can be used to end a simulation when the amount of residual (unrepaired) damage falls below a specified level. Two other parameters (FSDX and TSAX) control how often the VC application tests for the simulation-end condition. These parameters also determine the size of the time steps used in some output tables and can affect the CPU-time needed to complete a simulation.

The FRDL parameter determines whether residual damage is lethal (FRDL=1) or non-lethal (FRDL=0). Intermediate values between 0 and 1 can also be used. For example, FRDL=0.5 means that 50% of the residual damage is treated as lethal.

Tip: In Virtual Cell input files, all parameters must appear to the right of the SIMCON: keyword (i.e., on the same line in the input file).
