RESEARCH OVERVIEW

  • Our research group works in the mechatronics and controls area. Current research thrusts are shown below.

  • This research impacts a variety of applications such as, (i) precision control for high-speed operation of Atomic Force Microscopes; (ii) advanced manufacturing of composites; (iii) human-machine interfaces (e.g., control of advanced active prosthesis); and (iv) design of micro-mixing systems.
  • Our theoretical efforts include: stability of human-machine interface; precision control of nonminimum phase systems; and provably-safe conflict resolution for air traffic control.
