Dylan graduated from University of Washington in Seattle with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. During his undergraduate studies, he participated in research in the Atkins Lab in Medicinal Chemistry and also worked as a research assistant in a local pharmaceutical start-up company PhaseRx. Through these experiences and his undergraduate studies, Dylan became interested in the biology and chemistry of pharmaceuticals. Dylan joined the Xu lab in the Summer of 2016 as a Medicinal Chemistry PhD student. He is interested in applying ion mobility-mass spectrometry combined with computational modeling as a methodology for solving complex biological and biochemical problems. In his free time, Dylan enjoys playing racquetball, swimming, fishing, and hiking.
