Old courses

Here are links to materials from courses that I haven't taught in a long time.

Cell Biology
An archive site for Biology 212, which I taught at the University of Puget Sound in the spring of 2003.

Comparative Animal Physiology
An archive site for Biology 334B, which I taught at the University of Puget Sound in the fall of 2002.

Genetically Engineered Bacteria: Chemical Factories of the Future?
Slides from a 2005 guest lecture in General Studies 197 at the University of Washington.

Musical Representations of Science and Mathematics
The syllabus for a summer minicourse I taught at the University of Washington in 2004 and 2005 as part of the GEAR UP program, which encourages students from disadvantaged backgrounds to prepare for and attend college. My course helped these students create short songs with lyrics about a scientific or mathematical topic of their choosing.
