Methylotrophs
Methylotrophs are defined as bacteria that can grow on compounds containing
no carbon-to-carbon bonds as their sole source of carbon and energy. From 2003 to 2007, I
studied methylotrophic metabolism in the lab of Mary Lidstrom. The PowerPoint files listed
below present an introduction to methylotrophs and the Lidstrom lab's studies of them.
