Hi! My name is Geo. I like working with my hands - especially taking things apart. I jump onto all kinds of projects. When I grow up, I want to make good money. If I use my hands and my brain, I could be a well-paid earth scientist or a rich inventor of energy-efficient machines that use our natural resources wisely. I want people to stay warm and have energy to cook with, too.
Hmmm, are we offline? That's OK because, in case you NEED them, here's some local projects.
When we're on-line, we pull ideas from "hands on learning" websites. Each project has steps and sub-steps and we can take anything apart. Everything we do can be broken down into separate pieces. Having the right tool for each step makes each project go more smoothly - and really helps when trying to put it back together. We don't waste time on this, but it also really helps to have a plan, and the bigger the project, the bigger the plan.
Want a quick whirl into a virtual laboratory and build a virtual robot. How about even a build real robot together. And tough but skateboarder-style-friendly robotics Competition Championship, too.
I play tough video games, too - like the ones where I have to do something quickly because the fate of the universe depends on my success - or failure. One of them is the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider Adventure.
