About me
I'm an Acting Assistant Professor
in the Division of Allergy and
Infectious Diseases (DAID) within the
Department
of Medicine at the University of Washington in
Seattle. In collaboration with
other DAID faculty such as Wes
Van Voorhis and Henry Rosen,
I do research on drug development for infectious diseases caused by pathogens
such as Plasmodium and E. coli.
I grew up in Rutland, Vermont and attended Rutland
High School. This was followed by
undergraduate studies at
Williams College,
graduate work with Kevin Conley and
Marty
Kushmerick in the UW
Department of Physiology & Biophysics, a year of
teaching at the University of Puget Sound, and a postdoctoral fellowship with
Mary Lidstrom
in the UW Departments of Microbiology
and Chemical Engineering.
My other websites include SingAboutScience.org and
