Workflows & Pipelines

High quality, robust analytics for malaria in Uganda have the potential to leverage information and transform malaria control. To ensure consistency, replicability, and accountability, workflows are organized into pipelines. Here, we briefly describe the routine tasks.

ETL Pipelines

  • Spatial Metadata - This requires very little maintenance under normal circumstances, but it must be updated occasionally. For example, there was a recent change in the administrative organization that broke the existing location hierarchies.

  • Facility Data - Every month, after the data from the districts has been entered into DHIS2, someone with DHIS2 access credentials must run the prod version of ETL pipeline and update the current version of the databases.

  • Access to Care - These surfaces are of general interest. They will need to be updated occasionally: when new gridded population surfaces are released, or when the master facility list is updated.

Conventional Analytics

  • Malaria Incidence -

  • Test Positivity Rates

  • Malaria Prevalence

  • Outbreak Identification

Simulation-Based Analytics

  • Evaluation

  • Scenario Updates

  • Short-term Forecasts
