Hockey Helmets Recalled
December 8, 2008

If a helmet does not stay on someone's head, it cannot do its job to protect the person's head. Unfortunately, keeping helmets on heads is a problem for some hockey helmets: on December 2, 2008, Reebok-CCM and the US Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of about 1,000 hockey helmets. Apparently, the helmet's chinstrap can become unlocked and the helmet can fall off.

RBK and CCM brand hockey helmets with a HECC sticker with date code JUN - 2013 are being recalled. Look for the sticker and model numbers on the back of the helmets. If you have one of these helmets, stop using it and return it to the place it was purchased for a replacement.
