Set options for scenario rescaling (OPT=)
XBRT: keyword (or sample input files)

Syntax:
    XBRT: OPT={dose rescaling option}
Example:
    XBRT: OPT=1   !adjust delivered dose by increasing or decreasing the dose rate.

Purpose: Set the method use to rescale the total dose delivered in the baseline exposure scenario.

  • opt=0: increase or decrease the duration of the entire exposure scenario. The size and timing of any acute dose events is adjusted to preserve the overall temporal pattern of radiation delivery.

  • opt=1: multiply the absorbed dose rate(s) by a constant scale factor.
  • opt=2: Same as OPT=0 except the duration of time intervals that do not deliver any radiation (i.e., the dose rate is zero) are not modified. Also, the times when instantaneous (acute) dose events occur are the same as in the baseline scenario.
  • opt=3:: Same as OPT=0 except the duration of time intervals that do not deliver any radiation (i.e., the dose rate is zero) are not modified.

Data Type: integer
Unit:
n/a
Default: 1 (adjust dose rate rate)
Comments:  The baseline radiation treatment scenario is defined by the number of treatment days (NTD) and the size of each daily fraction (TD4F).  The temporal pattern of radiation deliver can be modified using the optional parameters WDO and TMX.  Use the FDT or DFDM: keyword to specify details related to fraction delivery.  The total treatment dose (TTD) parameter can be used to automatically adjust the size of the daily dose fractions to increase or decrease the total treatment dose while preserving the overall temporal pattern of radiation delivery.
