April 8: Introductions

Today is for introductions to three things:
  • Each other. Be prepared to introduce yourself to the group. In preparation, please post before noon today a short paragraph about who you are and why you want to go to China. I will call on each of your to introduce someone else to the group in class.
  • All the rigamarole you need to go through to be ready to go to Sichuan. This will include:
    • Material for the Office of International Programs and Exchanges
    • Material for Sichuan University's College of Overseas Studies
    • Things you should take care of at home before you go.
    • How we should be making travel arrangements
    • .
  • To some of the research opportunities that are available in Sichuan. I will provide brief introductions to these.
