April 8: Introductions
Today is for introductions to three things:
- Each other. Be prepared to introduce yourself to the group. In preparation, please post before noon today a short paragraph about who you are and why you want to go to China. I will call on each of your to introduce someone else to the group in class.
- All the rigamarole you need to go through to be ready to go to Sichuan. This will include:
- Material for the Office of International Programs and Exchanges
- Material for Sichuan University's College of Overseas Studies
- Things you should take care of at home before you go.
- How we should be making travel arrangements

- To some of the research opportunities that are available in Sichuan. I will provide brief introductions to these.
