Probability 1

Exams & Tests

General ground rules for our exams

Midterm 1 - July 19, regular class time

The test will consist of
  • three multiple choice questions, concerning basic facts about the algebra of sets, the probability axioms, and conditional probabilities
  • three word problems, requiring the application of the tools we discussed in this first part of the course, and especially conditional probabilities, Bayes' Rule, and manipulation of independent events in models similar or related to the ones we discussed in class, as well as presented in the book and in the additional files (the problems are not going to be as hard as some of the problems in the additional files, nor as some of the ones in the book!)

As an example of a possible choice of problems you can download this file. More examples, including examples of quizzes, are linked from the Materials page
