Popular Books
Some psychologists also publish books addressing the day-to-day psychological
issues that most concern the general public. Often, these works build
upon sound data, but tend to simplify most of the complexities, turning
the findings into "how-to" and "10 Step" programs for self-improvement.
These works are meant for an audience that, rather than digging more deeply
into the research in the field, wants to make immediate behavioral or
attitudinal changes.
