2007: Received a Full Professor Crossdisciplinary Conversation Award from the Simpson Center for the Humanities.

2006: Received a Course Development Award from the Jewish Studies Program (University of Washington) to revise into digital format "Introduction to the Hebew Bible (Old Testament)" in the summer of 2007.
