I am an undergraduate,  second year student at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. I am pursuing the major of Medical Anthropology & Global Health which has a great focus on the study of American Indian studies.  With this major I intend to continue my academics by attending medical school and becoming a pediatric radiologist in the Seattle Children’s Hospital.

I have obtained a great interest in this topic, because although I am not a part of an indigenous tribe, learning about this culture and historic events have opened my mind into increasing my knowledge on how the land I live in has come to be what it is today. The course I am currently taking, “Indigenous Leaders & Activists” has given me the appropriate information to be able to do this.
