The Watershed Dynamics Research Group at the University of Washington studies
hydrological processes and their connection to vegetation dynamics, landscape erosion
and evolution at a range of spatial and temporal scales using numerical models, and
remote sensing and field observations. Our interests lie from classical problems in
hydrological water balance, to new challenges in predicting complex response of
catchments under climate and environmental change and human impact. Our goal is
to advance the understanding and improve the predictions of hydrologic, ecologic, and
geomorphic response of the Earth's Surface.
