For the last two classes, we have said a lot about the role of "great men" in history, and we will be examining two other major figures closely later on, Chiang Ching-kuo (將經國) and Lee Teng-hui (李登輝)。By 8:00 a.m on Friday, January 29, please post 200-400 words on questions of whether you think we are placing too much importance on the role of individuals, and of what we might be leaving out or selling short by doing so. This post may be in either English or Chinese. |
