3. If you are absent from any class 11 times, you will be dismissed from the program.  You cannot receive a tuition refund.

The Department Late Arrival Policy is . . .

Homework
There will be daily homework assignments. You can expect to have 1 or 2 hours of homework each day. The purpose of homework is to give you a chance to practice a new skill so you can do well on an exam or in a presentation.

Requirements

1. Complete all the homework assignments. I will not accept late homework.
2. Attend class every day. If you miss a class, it is your responsibility to find out what you have missed from a classmate. If you are absent, you must hand in your homework your first day back.
3. Daily attendance is required.
4. Take all the exams. There will be no make-up exams.
5. Speak only English when you are in class. Don't worry about making mistakes! Boldly try again! We are here to learn together!

Bus Safety

* Sit near the bus driver.
* Choose to sit, not stand.
* Choose who you want to sit next to. Don't sit in an empty row. Sit in a row where one person is already sitting.
* Wrap your arms securely around your bag(s).
* Turn your bag so that the pockets are facing you.
* Try not to fall asleep.

General Safety

* Act like you know where you're going even if you don't.
* Make a copy of important documents (cell phones, passports, credit cards, etc.). Store the both originals and copies safely -- and store the copies in a different place from the originals.
* Don't carry important documents unless you need them.
* Be alert.
* Yell 'Fire!' if you are in trouble.
* Leave the area if you feel scared. Run home. Run into a crowded place.
