There is information everywhere on the Web.  We are deluged with information. "Information overload" and "Clutter" are the buzzwords of the day.

There is a lot of good information on the Internet.  At the same time, there is a lot of bad information- rumor, innuendo, parody, propaganda etc.  Famously, Nathan Myhrvold, Microsoft's then chief technology officer said on August 11, 1997 that the Internet is full of "crap."  [Cite] When I need to separate urban legend from fact, I go to Snopes. They track the veracity of rumors and urban legends of all types.

It is no wonder that search services is a huge market.  Take Google, for instance.  This is one of the most innovative companies I know.  Mastering the search process at Google can boost your productivity.  Take a hard look at Google's Lab.  Google just bought Blogger.  Have you heard of the term Google Bombing [it is a way to "trick" Google]? GoogleAlert is a free e-mail service that lets you track three search phrases on Google.  GoogleDuel is entertaining.

The Internet enables life-long learning.  Do you consider yourself a life-long learner?  If so, you need to check out these sites on a regular basis-
