This conference welcomes both
theoretical and empirical papers on knowledge economy, regional economic
development, free economic zones, international trade and any economic
fields. Those wishing to present a paper are invited to submit an
informative abstract not exceeding one page as soon as possible but no
later than September 20, 2008. Accepted applicants will be notified via
e-mail by October 1st. Completed manuscripts for those accepted are due
by October 31, 2008.
There will be no fee for participating in the conference. We will
provide room & board for those presenting papers at no charge.
Participants are responsible for transportation costs. This conference
is funded by the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Development Institute (DGI),
Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority(DGFEZ), Daegu Regional
Innovation Agency, POSCO Research Institute (POSRI), Daegu Bank, etc.
Manuscript for submission: Papers must be written in English in MS Word
format and submitted electronically to the conference coordinator, Prof.
