OUR SUSTAINABILITY MISSION STATEMENT
Mission: – To mobilize our Willamette View community in the understanding of and active participation in responsible environmental stewardship, also known as SUSTAINABILITY.
Specific Elements of Sustainability Efforts at WV
Maintain a comprehensive recycling program which is supported by actions of residents and staff
Educate all participants about the impact of our choices on sustainability as we live and work together as consumers of good, water and energy.
Conduct and make use of sustainability audits and their recommendations in selecting equipment and supplies and take advantage of incentives to implement cost-effective measures offered by governmental and non-governmental agencies, as well as utility companies..
Monitor the use of water and energy through periodic assessments and make the results available to the community of consumers to provide them with the opportunity to modify their behavior.
