August 4, 2005 - added new deepsea species Lucernaria janetae Collins and Daly 2005, updated and added some photograph links, added use of the term Staurozoa
October 30, 2006 - added Class Staurozoa (from Marques and Collins 2004) to taxonomic list hierarchy
April 23, 2010 - Added image of Haliclystus antarcticus by André Morandini and reloaded not-working image of Haliclystus sp. "californensis" by Allen Collins. Did not otherwise check links.
December 10, 2010 - Removed questionable species Manania lagena = Halimocyathus lagena (O. F. Müller, 1776)) to status of synonym of Manania auricula, as suggested and discussed by Larson and Fautin, 1989.
December 28, 2010 - noticed that it was Thiel (1928) (long before Kramp, 1961) who synonomized Lucernaria walteri and L. kükenthali together as L. walteri.
December 30, 2010 - found Redikorzev (1925), and corrected spelling of Lucernaria sainthilairei.
January 8, 2011 - reinstated Lucernaria kuekenthali to species status until I am convinced that it is a synonym of L. walteri. Added synonyms Lucernaria helgolandica and Lucernaria leuckarti to Craterolophus convolvulus. Added genus Schizodiscus as pre-occupied synonym to Kishinouyea. Added Depastrella carduella Haeckel, 1880 and Depastrella polare Haeckel, 1880 as synonyms of Depastrum cyathiforme.
January 10, 2011 - added Haliclystus californiensis Kahn et al. 2010 as a described species.
January 25, 2011 - changed all references of Clark (1863) to read James-Clark (1863).
Corrected date of Lipkeidae to Vogt, 1886; added some synonomies from the early literature. Moved family Kyopodiidae and genus Halimocyathus into alphabetical order within the same framework.
March 29, 2012 - added new species Lucernariopsis tasmaniensis Zagal et al. 2011.
