While we are working on this site, we’ve also been setting up a YouTube channel (under “Becker Lab”) to organize and disseminate some videos about shellfish larvae and our lab. We’re most excited about posting videos of larvae of some of our study animals. For example, here’s an Olympia oyster larvae, taken though a compound scope with a cell phone.
There is currently video of Olympia oysters and Pacific oysters at various ages, and one of geoduck larvae as well. We’ll keep posting video as we can, and will keep you updated here when we post something of interest.
Bonus: Any thoughts on adding music to these? Should we add music, and if so, what kind? Do you prefer the silent versions?
