LINKS FOR XINJIANG AND FOR ISLAM IN CHINA

First, some oppositional political organizations. The websites of the Uyghur American Association, and its Uyghur Human Rights Project are up-to-date and contain links to many recent articles and reports. There is also the International Uyghur Human Rights and Democracy Foundation, founded by Rebiya Kadeer.

Then the other side of the story, the Xinjiang Regional Government apparently doesn't have an English-language website, but let's keep looking. In the meantime, an official version of a short description of Xinjiang might have to do.

And the China Digital Times, from Berkeley, is a very good aggregation site. Hui don't have overseas oppositional organizations of any size, but there is an interesting approach on the University of Maryland's Minorities at Risk site.

Finally, don't forget to Google on your own. Never know what's gone up in the last few days.
