The impromptu topics for the quarter are listed below. These will be paired together based on criteria discussed in class. The current list is simply alphabetical.
- Following Washington State’s legalization measure, the UW should permit the on-campus use of marijuana.
- The City of Seattle should require city police to wear personal cameras while on shift.
- The King County Metro System should reinstate the “ride free” zone in downtown Seattle.
- The Seattle School District should base teacher pay increases to student test performances.
- The University of Washington should require all students to join an on-campus club or organization.
- The US Federal government should actively enforce federal anti-marijuana laws in states that have legalized its possession and use.
- The US federal government should allow convicted felons to vote after they are released from prison.
