Sound Transit - Tukwila Project (with BOAS and Associates)

At the location where Sound Transit is building a bridge across the Duwamish River the contract archaeological firm owned by Astrida Blukis Onat discovered a stratified archaeological site. Phil LeTourneau directed the excavation and Roger Kiers and Julie Stein conducted the geoarchaeological analysis of the location. The site represents multiple occupations of people adjacent to the channel of the river, with burial of the occupation material from flooding.
