Travel
The closest major airport to Seattle is the Seattle-Tacoma (Sea-Tac) International Airport. It is also easy to reach Seattle within a day's time by train or bus from either Portland, Oregon or from Vancover, British Columbia.
Conference participants can take the local train, which is called the "Light Rail," from the airport, train (Amtrak) station, or bus stations (in SODO or the International District) to downtown Seattle (Westlake Station).
The conference venue is within a short walk of the University of Washington train station. There are also many buses that stop directly next to campus on 15th Ave NE. For bus schedules, consult King Country's Metro site. If you are planning on driving, you can park in the large parking lot directly next to Husky Stadium.
Accommodations
There is no official conference hotel. We suggest that conference participants try to find accommodations near a local train station or bus line. The maps below contain suggested hotels, but participants might also wish to use AirBnB. The UW Light rail station is a six minute ride from the Capitol Hill station and an eight minute ride from the Westlake Station downtown. The conference venue is a 15-25 minute walk from the hotels in the University District marked in the map below.
