Discovery. Innovation. Compassion.

The Mission

We imagine a world where the invisible wounds of trauma do not define a person; a world where trauma survivors do not just survive but thrive.

We study the “how” and “why” of traumatic stress, directly applying these biopsychosocial mechanisms to develop better targeted and personalized interventions.

We are committed to training the next generation of translational scientists, who are just as facile discussing the neurobiology of traumatic stress as they are helping a trauma survivor heal.

We seek to disseminate science to our communities, maximizing the reach of these therapeutics to those who need it most.

We reject bigotry. We are committed to fostering a community that celebrates and supports diversity, and where all members of the community feel safe and supported.

Healing takes courage, and we all have courage, even if we have to dig a little to find it.Tori Amos

We are hereTO HELP YOU!

Survivors of a traumatic event often suffer for years following a traumatic event. If you have been raped, attacked, or have experienced a car accident or combat, and you are 18 years old or older, you may be eligible for a research study on the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This study includes a no-cost evaluation, no-cost counseling, and follow-up.
