TUESDAY, MAY 13
WRAPPING UP THE FARMS

This will be a very simple day. We will do two things:
  • Go over our trip and make sure we have all the facts straight, share experiences, and reflect on the possible future of dairy (and maybe other kinds) of farming in Western Washington
  • Think about the dairy farms of Whatcom County in the scaling-up context of American agriculture and world food issues that we talked about at the beginning of our farming unit.
There are no readings assigned for today; instead, you should go over your notes from Saturday and make sure they are in coherent order so you can participate productively in today's discussion.
