Dr. Zahra Hemmatian is graduated as a MSc in electrochemistry applied to design a biosensor for characterizing of L-lysine a-oxidase from University of Isfahan- Iran in 2008. In 2009 Zahra moved to Italy and studied master of science in polymer engineering at University of Rome La Sapienza applied to Nanocomposites for thermoforming application which was performed in ‘Giulio NATTA’ American-Italian Research Center, Ferrara-Italy under Prof. Chianese and Dr. Ferrara. Then she joined University of Bologna-Italy in January 2011 to pursue her PhD in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology under Prof. Biscarini and Dr. Cavallini guidance. Her Doctoral research which took place at the National Research Center (CNR) of the Institute of Nanostructured Materials (ISMN)- Bologna, deals with several aspects of the fabrication and electronic device properties of inorganic nanostructures, as well as the self-organization of organic and biological matter. Zahra joins Prof. Rolandi's group in October 2014 as a postdoctoral fellow working on DOE project focusing on bioelectronics device fabrications and characterizations mostly on the integration of rhodopsins with protonic devices.
