The Riddiford laboratory studies insect endocrinology in its broadest sense from the organismal to the cellular and molecular level. Presently we are concentrating on the mechanisms involved in the hormonal control of molting and metamorphosis and are beginning studies into the basis for the evolution of insect metamorphosis.
