TAO LHF terms for each buoy
TAO LHF terms: summary statistics
These show the primary (directly observed) terms needed to calculate latent heat fluxes from bulk formulae: Air-sea temperature, wind speed, relative humidity. All are found from TAO moorings. In each case, the full time series at each buoy was used. Since the timespans are different, these summary contoured fields are not necessarily smooth. Also, the gridding is (deliberately) crude. All I did was drop the values into the location of the buoys and contour. It gives a general idea at a glance and shows the observed ranges.
TAO LHF terms for each buoy
One plot for each buoy. All plots have the same scale for each quantity, but the plots show the full record length for each buoy, so the time scale is different.
