This is a sequel to a previous conference held in Seattle in May, 2016. In view of the rapid growth of many economies in Asia and the rise in several forms of economic integration in the Asia-Pacific region, this conference is being organized to allow economists to share their research ideas and results related to those relevant yet important issues. Both theoretical and empirical papers will be considered, but papers that cover or are related to the following topics are especially welcome :

  • US-Asia economic relations;

  • free trade agreements or negotiations in the Asia-Pacific region;

  • Inward and outward FDI and international business;

  • cross-border E-Commerce;

  • monetary cooperation and coordination among countries;

  • the rise of the renminbi and its internationalization;

  • economic growth: theory and experience of different countries;

The conference does not require registration fees, but participants are responsible for their travel and accommodation expenses.

Economists are invited to present a paper (theoretical or empirical) in the conference. Please send an extended abstract (200+ words) or a draft of a paper for presentation consideration to <sea17@apeaweb.org> by January 31, 2017. Please mention in the submission the names, affiliations, and e-mail addresses of all co-authors.
