Description Notes
Type 1 Inadequate fixation of end of stent to vessel wall 1A: proximal, 1B: distal
Type 2 Retrograde flow into aneurysm sac from branch vessels Most common (20-30% patients)
Type 3 mid-stent leak Either failure of graft, or inadequate apposition of components
Type 4 Oozing through graft material Porosity of older graft material. No longer an issue
Type 5 Endotension (unknown cause) Diagnosis of exclusion
