Grade 1 Intimal tear Minimal Aortic Injury
Grade 2 Intramural hematoma or large intimal flap
Grade 3 Pseudoaneurysm
Grade 4 Rupture

 

New Harborview criteria:

Classification Description Notes
Minimal No external contour abnormality

Intimal tear/thrombus <10mm

NO INTERVENTION:

Optional f/u imaging

Moderate External contour abnormality or intimal tear >10 mm SEMI-ELECTIVE REPAIR:

Impulse control, stabilize other injuries

Severe Active extravasation

Left Subclavian Artery hematoma >15mm

IMMEDIATE REPAIR:

BAI takes first priority
