Clinical Interests

Dr. Hume's clinical practice focuses on the medical and surgical management of diseases of the ear. This encompasses a wide spectrum of hearing and balance disorders including:

Hearing Loss

  • Age-related, drug and noise induced hearing loss
  • Congenital hearing loss
  • Chronic ear Infections
  • Ear drum perforations
  • Otosclerosis
  • Tinnitus
  • Cochlear implants
  • Bone anchored hearing aids (BAHA)

Dizziness/Vertigo

  • Positional vertigo (BPPV)
  • Meniere's Disease
  • Labyrinthitis
  • Migraine Associated Dizziness

External Ear

  • External ear reconstruction

Facial Nerve Disorders

  • Bell's palsy
