As a physical oceanographer at the
Applied Physics Laboratory at the
University of Washington
I study the global patterns and variability of tiny processes that churn
and mix both close to and far below the ocean's surface through the use of
global datasets and spending time at sea to make measurements on the open ocean.
My journey to the Applied Physics Laboratory included graduate study in physical oceanography at Scripps Institution of Oceanography in San Diego.
