Barbara Citko

I am an Assistant Professor of linguistics at the University of Washington.  My research centers on syntactic theory, syntax-semantics interface, and Slavic linguistics.  Within these areas, I have worked on issues involving phrase structure, relative clauses, copula constructions, wh-questions, and coordination.  I look at these issues from a crosslinguistic perspective, focusing on what such a perspective contributes to our understanding of the human language faculty.
