To CFR Community:

Pursuant to Chapter 26-41(C) of the UW Handbook, on February 11, Provost Phyllis Wise requested that the Chair of the Faculty Senate appoint a Review Committee to conduct an open review of her proposal to consolidate the College of Forest Resources into the College of the Environment as the School of Forest Resources. The Provost's request followed the positive vote of the Faculty Senate Committee on Planning and Budget on February 10, 2009.

On March 11, the Provost transmitted her proposal and justification to our College requesting that our faculty review and comment on the proposal. Three key documents relative to her proposal are:

  • Provost's Proposal for CFR
  • CoEnv Proposal
  • RCEP Timeline
  • Secretary of the UW Faculty's Announcement
