Mentoring high school students
I had the opportunity to mentor a team of three students, Nikolay Bykov, Carolyn Clark and Ishan Nayar, from TESLA STEM High School to take part in the Robotics track at the 2016 Central Sound Science and Engineering Fair. The team implemented a coordinated search and rescue mission prototype using a dual autonomous unmanned vehicle system. The system comprised a drone taking aerial images and a ground robot navigating to the rescue target based on the environment map computed by processing the images.
