Professional Leadership
Throughout his career, Prof. Wang has taken active leadership roles in major transportation and civil engineering organizations, including the Council of University Transportation Centers (CUTC), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Transportation Research Board (TRB), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Prof. Wang's professional service has focused on strengthening research and education communities, advancing emerging areas such as artificial intelligence and connected and automated transportation, supporting technology transfer, and creating opportunities for collaboration across academia, public agencies, and industry.

In addition to professional-society leadership, Professor Wang directs major transportation research and technology-transfer programs at the University of Washington.
