The theme of this year is “Sustainable Communities, Sustainable Landscapes.” Using the exquisite setting of Awaji Landscape Planning & Horticulture Academy /University of Hyogo on the island of Awajishima near Kobe, Japan, the conference will examine the connections between sustainability of local communities and the broader environment in the face of globalism.
