I am a publicly engaged scholar applying ethics and religious philosophy to contemporary contexts. I am an associate professor in interdisciplinary arts and sciences at the University of Washington, Tacoma.

Teaching
I teach courses such as TPHIL 270: Case Studies in Medical Ethics: Death and Dying, TRELIG 350: Philosophy, Religion and the Environment, TRELIG 333 Buddhist Thought, TRELIG 321 Comparative Religion.
I am co-editor of the book “Practitioner’s Guide to Ethics and Mindfulness-Based Interventions” (2017) and have authored over a dozen peer-reviewed articles.
I seek to contribute to the public good across all of my teaching, research, and service. I love enjoying the outdoors and engage in more adventure sports than is probably sensible at my age…
