Course Information In this course we will introduce and explore cloud computing and software and systems design concepts for the cloud. We will engage in the exploration of cloud service alternatives which can be harnessed to deploy and implement cloud-based applications. The term project provides the option of building a cloud native serverless application or conducting a cloud-computing related research project. The focus is to build and implement cloud-based software prototypes, and then evaluate their performance and cost while considering implications of design and implementation alternatives. Students will gain exposure to a variety of new cloud technologies and "services" while learning how to evaluate performance and cost trade-offs of cloud software application implementations.
