About me

I returned to BC in 2005 to pursue a M.Sc. at Simon Fraser University, and eventually decided to continue on to do a Ph.D. as well. At SFU I was co-supervised by Dr. Manfred Trummer (SFU Math) and Dr. Anna Celler (UBC Department of Radiology). My research was focused on quantitative corrections and dynamic imaging in SPECT, a nuclear medicine imaging modality.
Following the completion of my Ph.D. in August of 2011, I started a postdoctoral fellowship at Memorial University under the supervision of Dr. Ronald Haynes, investigating the use of mathematical optimization techniques in offshore oil exploration. In September 2013 I started a second postdoctoral position at Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR. At OSU I worked with Dr. Adel Faridani on techniques for reconstruction of CT images from polyenergetic and undersampled data.
In Fall 2015 I began work as an Assistant Professor in Mathematics at UW Bothell. My research continues to be focused on applied problems in medical imaging and optimization. I was promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure in 2022.
