fees
2016-2017
FALL SEMESTER 2016: $8700 for UW and non-UW
university.
SPRING SEMESTER 2017: $8900 for UW and non-UW
university.
Please note that as of fall 2016, the program fee includes
the cost of obtaining a Spanish Visa (formerly a separate expense).
For the academic year 2016-2017 the original payment procedure remains
in effect: the student submits personal checks
or money orders made payable to the University of
Washington and delivered or sent to the department (Padelford C-104, Box 354360,
UW, Seattle WA 98195). See the online brochure for additional information, if needed.
Fall semester students. Those who did not pay off their balance
due on Aug. 1, 2016 must do so by Dec. 1.
Yearlong students may pay in full
for fall semester by Dec. 1, splitting their spring semester fees between winter
and spring quarters (by Jan. 20 and April 14, 2017) or they may split their total
program fee for the year evenly over the 3 UW
quarters, but they must have paid in full for the year by April 14, 2017.
Spring semester students will make their first payment upon applying to the dept.
($200 by Oct. 20), their second payment by Nov. 1 ($1000) and the balance by Dec. 1.
Students who receive scholarship or financial aid distributions may pay the balance due in
full by Jan. 20, 2017 or they may pay half their remaining balance by Jan. 20 and
the remainder by Apr. 14, 2017.
Please bear in mind that the department is not equipped to handle
credit card transactions nor can we as yet access student UW Accounts to
collect our tuition, so please do not count on using those accounts to pay
the program fees.. For this reason payments must be made directly to the
program at the departmental address below).
NW CÁDIZ reserves the right to increase the program fee in the
event that a
fluctuation in the exchange rate makes an adjustment necessary. Such
adjustments will be made no later than one month prior to the start of each

Note that the UW Study Abroad Office's
Concurrent Enrollment fee
($660 for all programs longer than one quarter) is not included
in the above Program Fees
nor is it to be paid to the department.
Students will be charged the Study Abroad fee through their MyUW accounts.
Keep in mind that $660 is the Study Abroad Office's fee for one semester or
for two semesters (i.e. a yearlong student pays the $660 only once).
The Sutdy Abroad Concurrent Enrollment fee is charged to and will be
deducted from your UW student account during the first week of the
fall or winter quarter. Until you have returned your signed contract
to the Study Abroad office and paid their concurrent enrollment fee, you
will not be enrolled at UW (nor will your MyUW show you as enrolled
(for 12 cr.foreign study) for the upcoming quarter(s).
