Congrats to Evan Schuster – UW 3MT Finalist!

Congratulations to Evan Schuster for being a finalist in the university wide 3-minute thesis presentation competition. Last week Evan received 2nd place and got a cash prize for explaining his research on improving walking canes for people with knee osteoarthritis. Next up is the final competition, where Evan will compete for a cash prize of $3,000 while pitching his research to the UW Foundation Board, a group of 200 community leaders and philanthropists dedicated to supporting the work of UW. Go Evan!

UW 3MT is a professional development competition that celebrates the exciting capstone and research experiences of Master’s and Doctoral students at the University of Washington from all three campuses. The competition supports graduate students’ capacity to effectively explain their research or capstone project in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a public audience.
